Why MasterCAM ??

Because MasterCAM 9.1 is the program the High School uses in their machine shop for programming their mini-mill/engraver, their small wood router, and their rebuilt micro-lathe. They also have Version8 Quick Part, which makes it easy for the students to actually program and engrave/mill a small project from start to finish in a 2 period shop block. This helps to motivate and keep the students interested, because they can see actual results in a relatively short period of time.

This page is mostly for collecting a series of links and documents that the students can use to practice their drawing skills, or aide them in planning better machine processes and program flow.
